Comics capture the imagination of many people. Before the Internet brought people instant entertainment and before the world of twenty four seven choice on television there was the comic book. Before the instant availability of information and entertainment the comic book provided one of the main sources for youth entertainment.

Golden Age Comic Book and other old comic books have reached legendary and historical status due to the influence they had on their generation and on many generations since then. Many of today’s famous movie characters such as Batman and Spiderman had their beginnings as comic books. The reason that these old comic book heroes have been able to remain popular is that they captured the attention of a whole generation. This has meant that as the characters have come back in new forms, the original audience has sought to rekindle their youth via going to see the new movies. This, in turn, has sparked a whole new generation of fans for these wonderful characters.

Part of this cycle has involved having this new generation of fans refer back to the old comic books and this has sparked brand new popularity in old comic books. This has made certain historical comic books out to be great investments as their values sky rocket.

Almost all of us have read comic books during our childhood and have been inspired by the comic characters like Phantom, Tarzan, Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Captain America, Tintin, Casper, Dennis the Menace etc. These golden age comic book characters will stay evergreen and continue to inspire children in all ages. The comics may be some 60 to 70 years old but the characters always remain young. Not just children, even many adults love reading comics as a means to rejuvenate and stay young. Some people are really crazy about comics and scour second hand book stores to find some old comic books. If they are lucky, they come up with some rare comic books which were published ages ago and are no longer in circulation. It is really thrilling to find such delightful golden age comics.
The best thing about comic books is that one can read them again and again without getting bored. There are many comic books which hardly have anything to read and once can come to know the story just be looking at the pictures. Even small children who have not begun to read too can enjoy comics as they can easily follow the pictures and understand the story. Have you ever wondered as to what is the type of work that goes into making a comic book? It is not just writing the story, but converting it into pictures, which is quite a lengthy and cumbersome task.
