Friday, May 15th, 2009

Comics capture the imagination of many people. Before the Internet brought people instant entertainment and before the world of twenty four seven choice on television there was the comic book. Before the instant availability of information and entertainment the comic book provided one of the main sources for youth entertainment.

Golden Age Comic Book and other old comic books have reached legendary and historical status due to the influence they had on their generation and on many generations since then. Many of today’s famous movie characters such as Batman and Spiderman had their beginnings as comic books. The reason that these old comic book heroes have been able to remain popular is that they captured the attention of a whole generation. This has meant that as the characters have come back in new forms, the original audience has sought to rekindle their youth via going to see the new movies. This, in turn, has sparked a whole new generation of fans for these wonderful characters.

Part of this cycle has involved having this new generation of fans refer back to the old comic books and this has sparked brand new popularity in old comic books. This has made certain historical comic books out to be great investments as their values sky rocket.
